Bro's birthday @ Korean Palace

We had a bad encounter with the staff there on that day. Well, let me tell you the whole story.

We brought our own birthday cake and requested them to keep it in the fridge for us. After our satisfying meal, it was cake-cutting time. When they brought out the cake, it was in a messy condition. The fruits on top of the cake were all out of place, the cream was all over the box and the cake was tilted very badly. Yes, the cake was in a total mess!

Lina said when she went to the restroom, she saw one of the staff dropped the box of cake to the floor with the box intact. They did not even tell us and acted like nothing happened. If they were to apologize ahead, we would not have been so angry.

We quickly questioned the staff but they did not seem to understand our English. They are all foreigners with funny accent. It was like chicken and duck talk. We then told the Korean boss what happened and demanded for an explanation. The boss ordered his son to speak to us.

When we told him that his staff dropped our cake and it is spoilt, he said "It is not my problem, it is his problem!" while pointing at his staff and he added "Do you have money?" Walao! What kind of attitude is this? Instead of replying in such manner, he could have just apologized to us. After that, other staff began to talk in Korean and that guy who dropped our cake quickly apologized to us. He said with deep regret "I am very sorry" and he really looked very sorry and upset over the matter. Ok, at least after he apologized, we were not angry anymore and forgave him.

Then, our dessert was served. It was some Korean "tong shui" but it did not taste like usual ones. Bro commented that it had some cockroach smell in it and mom agreed too. Finally, all of us did not touch the dessert as we were also afraid that they will spit into our dessert as we scolded them just now. Kiasu and kiasi.

Lina said this would be her first and last visit to that restaurant. What a memorable birthday for bro!

Cheeky Janice

We had to rearrange the cake so that it looks nice

A Sunday @ Youth Park

Last Sunday, the kids woke up early and I decided to bring them to Youth Park. It was Clayton's first time there, he was excited to sit on the slide and will slightly give himself a little push on his butt when being put on the slide. Cute, eh?

Although it was only 9:30am when we reached, we were all sweaty and stuffy after playing. Luckily I brought extra clothes for everyone and we headed to Gurney Plaza for our brunch after that.

Leo's 4th birthday @ Northam Hotel

Although the food variety is not much compared to any other hotel's buffet, it has improved a lot compared to a few years back partly because they served lobster now.

Leo's sudden craze in Spiderman led bro created a DIY spidey cake, with the help of the spiderman toy from KFC. His birthday presents mostly are Spiderman stuff too. We bought below t-shirt for him and he was such a happy boy when he opened his present.

Ok, I will let the pictures do the talking.

New notes

My new notes given FOC from mom! She did not give me the RM50 and RM100 notes though :P

Janice's new shoes

Kids' feet size grow very fast. Janice's shoes can only last her for about a year and we would have to change a pair of new shoes for her yearly. Lately, she has been complaining that her toes hurt. When I took a look, her last tiny toenail has a long horizontal crack and has some dried blood. Omg, it must have hurt like hell! We immediately bought 2 new pair of shoes for her: one casual sandals and one sports shoes.

Chic and casual

Cool sports shoes with lights!

Mama

Ok, I've got to blog about this. 2 days ago, Clayton said "mam mam". I had a feeling that he can say "mama" very soon and yes! He said it yesterday and today several times. When I took Janice for a bath upstairs, Clayton yelled "mama mama" at the bottom of the staircase begging me to carry him up. Cutie pie!

All the while he can say "yeye", "papa" and "jiejie" and finally he had learnt how to call me "mama". I am so happy :))
