Mother's birthday

Celebrated mom's birthday again. Why did I say again? Because every year during CNY day 2, we will celebrate her Chinese birthday. And today, it is her real day in errr, English birthday?

Anyway, we dined at Western Spices which is located just beside Convent Light Street. This is the original restaurant and they do not have any other branch. The restaurant owner told us that there is another restaurant bearing the same name which is a copycat of her restaurant and both are not related at all.

The food and the service was good. They even had a complimentary birthday cake for mom! It was like fine dining but with so many kids around, we turned the restaurant into a market. Kinda embarrassed by our noise pollution but the lady owner was oh so friendly. She asked me whether is Clayton the brother of Leo as both have same facial features. Got meh?

This is the birthday card that Janice made for my mom. Well, I helped her to draw and she coloured it. What surprised me is that she managed to colour the Angry Birds characters by choosing the correct colours on her own!

This chubby boy with curly hair is the naughtiest kid in Janice's class. His name is Baxter Sim. There was one fine day when Janice complained to me that Baxter pulled her hair. I confronted the teacher the next day and she admitted that he bullies almost every girl in his class. The teacher assured me that whenever Baxter bullies the girls, she will scold and beat him. She has also prepared a special confined area for him to sit in one corner in class so that he cannot disturb others. I hope there is no more complaints from Janice anymore.

Yummy chrysanthemum tea

This cute little girl is called Tan Sing Yen. She was in the same class with Janice last year and Janice always mentioned about her. Whenever Janice does not want to do something when being called to, for example brushing her teeth, just bluff her that "Sing Yen already brushed her teeth" and then she will quickly do the same thing. This method works everytime when Janice does not co-operate :)
