Janice's academic performance

There are 2 times of students' academic review yearly between parents and teachers. Mid-year review was over and now it is year-end review. Children were happily making homemade ice-cream under supervision while parents can have a small discussion with teachers in the classroom.

Happy Children's Day

Janice celebrated Children's Day at school on Thursday. All students were asked to bring a handmade mask to school that day for mask competition cum party. They were given a duration of one week to prepare the mask with their parents.

 

Being a lazy mom and out of colourful papers and accessories, I just made her a simple Hello Kitty mask. I only used white A4 papers to make collage on the Hello Kitty's face, pink coloured paper to make the ribbon, yellow coloured paper to make the nose, black marker pen to draw the whiskers and took out the elastic band from an old mask to put on this Hello Kitty mask. It took me about 1 hour to complete everything. Lazy and easy is my new motto!

We reached early and nobody was in the classroom yet. Then I asked Clayton: "Do you want to take photo?" And he nod his head. My cute little darling.

Janice's 4th birthday @ Melody

This is the first time I accompanied Janice to celebrate her birthday at school. Last year, hubby went alone coz my annual leave was limited. I can still remember very clearly that I threw my resignation letter on Janice's birthday last year. This year, being a fulltime mom at home makes things easier as I can plan and schedule my own time as I like.

Lantern Festival

All the kids wore either Chinese traditional costumes or red clothes on that day, carrying their own lantern to school. The celebration started off with some lantern dance by the students, followed by story telling of lantern festival by the teacher and then ended with a mini potluck party. The kids sure had lots of fun!

Long time no update (again), oops! I am getting lazier and lazier each day, I think my blog is dying soon. Ok, so this post is mainly about my 2 naughty kids' progress, pictures mostly captured with my lousy handphone camera.

Hibiscus cum pencil for Merdeka celebration given by Melody

Janice vomited 8 times within 12 hours (from evening until midnight on Merdeka Day). Whatever she consumed she threw up, including food, water and medicine. Heard from her that 3 of her classmates vomited in school too the day before. Sent her to Hope Children's Hospital in the evening but she continued to vomit throughout the night so we immediately sent her to Adventist at 2 something in the midnight when she threw up for the 8th time.

Feeling better the next day. 2 days at the hospital and the bill was RM1,900! Luckily she is under insurance coverage.
