Oh Sushi again

Initially we planned to go to Gurney but the traffic was super bad. Can you believe that it took us almost half an hour from G Hotel to the entrance of Gurney Plaza? Many drivers changed their minds and drove off while halfway queueing for the multi-level carpark. When we got nearer, hubby wound down the car window and asked the security personnel what was wrong. He told us that the parking ticket machine broke down and it could not provide any parking tickets. He then asked us to use the Kelawai Road entrance but he did not know that the whole Gurney area was jammed like mad because of this. Instead of routing us to another entrance, he should have used his mind to think and manually provide us the parking tickets. Silly joker! We were angry and hungry so off we went to Straits Quay.

I wanted to dine at Delicious but all the waiter and waitress seemed to be so busy and did not attend to us although we were standing for quite some time in front of the "Please wait to be seated" signboard. Feeling disgusted, I decided to walk in and instructed hubby to follow me to a nearby vacant table. Then only the waitress who was attending to a customer who was making an advanced reservation noticed us and said "Sir, you have to wait!" quite rudely. Hubby snapped back at her "Yes, we have been waiting!" Then the waitress continued to attend to her customer. That's enough! We stomped out from that restaurant at once.

That's when we decided to dine at Oh Sushi again. Before even reaching the entrance, a waiter was already standing there opening the door for us to go in and greeted us "Welcome" in Japanese. Once inside, we were greeted again by other waiter and waitress. It felt so warm. So friendly. Hubby said "See the difference?" Then he started to complain about how he dislike Delicious since the very first time he went there. Overpriced and so-so food and the latest is bad service. Hubby has banned the restaurant but I love the dessert there. Oh, well.

Clayton rejected the tofu in the miso soup, steamed egg (chawanmushi) as well as the plain rice on the sushi. He took only the garlic fried rice as it was yummy and fragrant. Smart ass.

Hubby is a happy man as long as he does not step into Delicious

Oops! The flash is too bright!
